"Live Aid Benefit"
The Marquee, London
13th July 1985

This show went under the name "Live Aid Benefit" as it was held at the very same
day as the historic Live Aid concerts, all proceed from this show went to
charity.

Original artwork provided with this show was labelled as "Peter Nicholls Farewell Show". that's not strictly true.
It was Peter Nicholls' last show - but at the time we did not know this. It was not billed or known as a 'farewell show'.

Memories of the gig (By Malc Leary):
We had not long moved into a house share in a different part of Reading (quite close to The Target - brilliant Reading venue) and
we watched the start of Live Aid at home for a while (Quo / Style Council / Boomtown Rats) before getting the train up to London with the usual crowd.
Blistering hot day. Sweltering hot Marquee. Packed. Before the band, they had a projector screen up showing Live Aid.
Brilliant gig, great atmosphere. Drinks. Lots of.
On the tube back to Paddington afterwards, I was so busting for the loo that I said we absolutely HAD to get off the train at Baker Street and find a toilet else... y'know.....
So we did get off the train, found the loo, but the unscheduled stop delayed us geting back to Paddington long enough so that we missed the last train back to Reading.
Can't remember exactly how long but i think it was a 5-hour or so wait until the first early morning train....
