Comments

This is a direct transfer from 21 year old master recording on a good old TDK AD120. No noise reduction was used (not present on this recorder) so, given the quality of the tape, tape hiss is audible, but not overly so.
The transfer was from tape deck (Aiwa AD-F800) to Audio CD recorder, then EAC to WAV to FLAC.

The recording is stereo, using a stand mounted mic, but the seperation is poor given the location of the seats (high to one side). The venue is what is sounds like - an old tramshed in Woolwich!!

This is an average early audience recording which, although short, I'd rate as B-

IQ were the support band this night (to Twelfth Night - first time I saw "The Collector"!).

Despite a long call for an encore they were denied, although Peter came back with a "good news and bad news" message - announcing a Marquee headline and that they couldn't do another as Martin had "come over all queer!"

A very wierd night - walking through the fog in the Woolwich foot tunnel under the Thames on the way home!!

Captain Ransid - Sept 04
